Helllllloooo Fall!

Who else is excited that October is here? Ok, Ok, we admit that we put pumpkins out in September...we're festive like that.

We love a porch full of pumpkins, gourds, mums, crotons, hay bales, etc. to get the fall vibes going. Can you say instant gratification? It's the perfect seasonal decor to welcome your friends, family and customers to your front door.

We are happy to lend a hand with your fall exterior decorating. Please give us a shout if we can help bring the best of the season to your front porch or storefront.

Purple power!

We adore the color purple! Especially when variations of the color are packed into an outdoor planter. Cabbage, kale and pansies are ideal plant options to incorporate purple into container garden design. The color blends perfectly with a green grass as the thriller and chartreuse moneywort as the spiller. We love to tuck in cute white pumpkins to add a festive, seasonal touch to finish the look.

Traditional fall colors

You can't beat traditional fall colors in an outdoor planter. Our go to plants for this palette are grasses, crotons, yellow and orange pansies, green cabbage and moneywort. In this picture above we used a green grass as the thriller, but you could also use purple fountain grass if you want to bring a burgundy color into the mix. Our fillers are yellow pansies, crotons, green cabbage and orange pumpkins. Chartreuse moneywort rounds out the arrangement as the spiller.

We love crotons!

Hands down, crotons win the prize as our plant of choice in container garden design. All the different colors in the leaves scream fall. This tropical plant is easily found at your local garden center or big box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. Crotons come in all sizes - from 2 gallon like in this picture, which makes a great thriller, to tiny ones that can be used in a small pot or used as a filler in a large planter. The colors of this plant go well with green cabbage and yellow pansies as you see in the picture above. It's also fabulous with a yellow, orange or red mum. It's a house plant, so at the end of the season you could dig it up and bring it inside to enjoy all year long.

Curb appeal shout out

Mary Hatch, opened Dwell, a boutique real estate firm specializing in OKC's urban core, in February of 2017. Prior to opening Dwell, Mary had 5 years experience as a real estate agent and 7 years as a home stager.

With 7 years of home staging experience, Mary really understands the importance of curb appeal. "You only get one chance to make a great first impression. Buyers want to experience that homey feeling from the minute they drive up to their potential home. I recommend a freshly painted  front door, professional cleaned exterior windows and seasonally appropriate flower pots to set the stage for that first impression."

We recently "adorned" the front steps of Dwell's new offices with fall containers and we truly appreciate Mary's comments about our container gardening services. "As a local business owner I'm always looking for other local companies to partner with, that offers a great product and even better client experience. Elizabeth at Adorn exceeded both my expectations. Thanks for making our office fall worthy. Looking forward to partnering again soon."
